Louis and Lestat. Normally I don't illustrate, but sometimes I can't resist. And this was for someone, so, if it makes them happy, I can't complaine. And one day, the works of Anne Rice will be as old as Dracula is to us now...and I may very well live to see that day, so perhaps it doesn't matter.

Merci bien. C'est tres delicious, n'est pas? Et j'adore Louis et Lestat, mais je prefere le premiere livre.

Just so everyone knows, this was a commissioned piece. In fact, everything up here was pretty much a commissioned piece...that's why I don't have any rainbows or unicorns in the gallery. Desole.

Well, I didn't mean to flood you with non-unicorn&rainbow work.

I loved this piece. It kinda reminds me of Alice and Jasper in Twilight. Was that the point? (My French sucks).
:iconalice-dreamchild:
Thank you! I'm...not sure I know who Alice and Jasper are...but still, if you like it, that makes me happy. As for the French, Hatter said something about wanting my blood, and I replied with thank you very much, it's delicious, isn't it? I love Louis and Lestat, but prefer the first book.

:wow: that's pretty intense! I love Lestat's fingers cradling Louis' head and coming through the hair like that :yum: Don't be afraid to illustrate... after all, most of the famous paintings in the world are illustrations from one source or another ;) :+favlove:
:iconalice-dreamchild:
Thank you! And I suppose you're right about the illustration thing; after all, what would the pre raphaelite brotherhood be without Shakespeare or King Arthur? Anyway, thank you again.

Exactly  and all the renaissance masters without the Bible and ancient Greeks and Romans without their Myths to inspire them ;)
:iconlatuacantante007:
That was a pretty good book. Twilight's a book about vampires, and Alice and Jasper are characters. Their size(s) and hair colors just seemed right.

And who ever said that your every prayer would be heard and answered?
:iconalice-dreamchild:
Ah, I see. I have heard of that book, but have never read it. Mostly I just read the classics of vampyre fiction; Anne Rice was almost a bit of a deviation for me. But I'm glad you saw something of it that you liked.
